If Cura is capable of having the character of an open house, it is fundamentally because it also wants to be a Christian house. Today, the people of Majorca consider that place as a Sanctuary.

THE MARIAN ASPECT: The lovely little statue of the Virgin does not belong to the long tradition of 'found Virgins'. Instead, it is linked to the School or College which had it as its protector as it is the mother 'who takes care' of the children in the absence of their parents and relatives. The image and name go together with the petition for cure of the bodies and souls of those invoking Her.
