SANCTUARY SQUARE:
In the centre is a cistern of drinking water: the Sanctuary
supplies itself from rainwater. Its importance was documented as far back 1564
in a text which tells us how, before the construction of the cistern, the
scholars of the Cura School had to fetch water from Sant Honorat, which had a
negative effect on their study obligations. Practically the whole surface of the
present square is over wells.
